Ruud is the son of former professional tennis player Christian Ruud. He has two sisters. He grew up in the Snarøya district of Bærum, with Rafael Nadal as his tennis idol. Casper Ruud is a Norwegian professional tennis player. Ruud has a career-high singles ranking of world No. 2 achieved on 12 September 2022, making him the highest-ranked Norwegian tennis player in history. He has won nine ATP Tour singles titles, eight of which were on clay courts.
