Jiyeon’s Solo
In 2018, after 10 years working under the auspices of MBK Entertainment, T-Ara finally chose to leave the agency. However, they said that they would not disband. One member, Hyomin, indicated that the four remaining T-Ara members; Hyomin, Eunjung, Jiyeon, and Qri, might still be active together as a group, regardless of whether or not they would take shelter under the same agency. Not only that, Hyomin also said that she and her group-mates would take a break to think seriously about the future of T-Ara. However, she also said that their fans shouldn’t worry too much. A representative from MBK Entertainment has confirmed the news, saying that the four T-Ara’s members contracts ended in December, 2017, and the future of the group was now in the hands of its members. Since their debut in 2009, the girl group has produced various works that got a lot of love from the public, Bo Peep Bo Peep and Lovey Dovey, for example. In the course of the group’s career they’ve also undergone several changes in membership and have been involved in controversies around bullying. Before finally leaving MBK, the group released the album What’s My Name in June. Supposedly, this album was made by six of the members; Boram, Soyeon, Qri, Eunjung, Hyomin, and Jiyeon. However, the album finally only involved four members, because MBK failed to come to agreements with Boram and Soyeon regarding their contracts which ended in May, 2017.
Leaving MBK Entertainment, T-Ara’s Jiyeon Signs a New Contract with a Chinese Label!
On May 17, news emerged that the former T-ARA member, Park Ji-yeon, signed an exclusive contract with an influential Chinese label. According to reports, Park Ji-yeon entered into an exclusive partnership with Longzhen Culture Development back in April, 2018. However, this is not the first time that Jiyeon has worked with this company. In 2014, Core Contents Media reported that her girl group, T-ARA, had signed a contract with Longzhen Culture Development. With the help of this agency, the group planned to officially debut in China, where they would perform, make appearances on local television, and more. Before entering into an exclusive contract with this company, Jiyeon had reportedly met with officials in person to ensure that it was the right fit for her. In addition, she also visited the company’s headquarters to actively discuss what she wanted to accomplish in the future. Now that a deal had been struck, Longzhen Culture Development plans to provide full support for Jiyeon as she pursues activities in different fields. Since Jiyeon debuted as part of T-ARA in 2009, she has developed herself as a proficient singer and actress. As such, she is expected to continue these activities as a solo act. The company will manage her music, acting projects, performances, broadcasts, and commercial deals.
Between Us
Jiyeon again made her melodious voice heard through a duet with Soobin Hoàng Sơn, a solo singer from Vietnam who has a melodious and gentle voice. With sweet vocals, the pair came out with a pop love song with lyrics and melodies that will spoil the ears of every listener. Apart from releasing the song Our Distance in Korean, the song was also released into Vietnamese, requiring each of them to learn each other’s languages.
One Day
Jiyeon finally released a solo music video that was much anticipated by her fans. The video, titled One Day was released through her YouTube channel on Saturday (22/12/2018). One Day is a medium-sized ballad, which was delivered with soft vocals from Jiyeon. This music video was also released by singer as a gift for her fans for the 2018 Christmas holiday.

Sweet Temptation
In 2015, Jiyeon was confirmed to be starring in the Web Drama Sweet Temptation, with actor Seo Jun-young. Sweet Temptation is T-ara’s web-drama, and was released simultaneously in China and Korea in September, 2015. On July 17th Jiyeon was spotted filming at a cafe in a romantic situation. Jiyeon and actor Seo Jun-young in an elegant and charming state is only for Jiyeon’s episode, which will be titled Second Wish, according to the drama staff on Instagram. A representative stated, “Jiyeon and Seo Jun Young have started the filming in a harmonious mood. The two of them are acting as lovers looking to form ‘chemistry.’”
My Runway
In 2016, Jiyeon was confirmed to be playing the character of Han Seo-yeon, a high school student who is healthy, cheerful, and friendly. She really likes the world of fashion and good clothes. Because she was not good at learning, she was inspired and dreamed of being a model because she had a nice body and looked good in good clothes.
